We are delighted to present our Portobello project. A contemporary conversion of a single fronted Victorian villa, we sought to create both a connection and contrast between the original part of the building and the adjoining extension.
The design of the home was very much influenced by our clients’ existing art collection with dramatic colour drenching used in lesser used areas like the bathroom and utility.
The joinery designed throughout also echoes the contrast between old and new – stainless steel tall units in the kitchen, ‘porthole’ reading nooks in a child’s room, balanced with vintage freestanding pieces sourced to work harmoniously with the protected features of the original house.
