This client wanted to live in a space that felt opulent & luxurious, despite being a classic suburban home. The north facing living room was dark on the brightest days, so we decided to run with this and create a plush, dark parlour-inspired space. We sourced lot of the furniture & fittings from vintage & antique suppliers and coupled them with some more contemporary pieces, like the Jonathan Adler mirrored cube as a fun twist. The opulence continues in the kitchen diner with a bespoke banquette, silk curtains & gold mosaic tiles. The light in this area perfectly contrasts with the dark front room and the use of mirrors, large French doors & plants create a perfect link with the rear garden.
