Rathfarnham Residence

Atmosphere is everything. In this classic suburban home, the client wanted to live in a space that felt opulent and luxurious. In the north-facing living room, we embraced the dark, combining dramatic blacks and daring pinks to create a parlour-inspired space. Plush pooling drapes, fringed lamps and scallop shapes add depth, while in the next room, metallic wallpaper, deep teal and brass fittings combine to create textural interest. While much of the furniture came from vintage and antique suppliers, these were coupled with contemporary pieces, such as the mirrored cube by Jonathan Adler.
