InSpace worked with architect Paul O’Farrell on the renovations of this 1960s artisan end of terrace redbrick. Split into many smaller rooms for student accommodation, the home felt dark and dated. The client wanted to open up the building but was wary of having a large space that didn’t feel intimate or cosy. InSpace strategised to zone the larger areas into smaller ones using paint, furniture and lighting. The clients love for art and music was given priority, and Emily used these passions to personalise the home and inform the furniture selection. A microciment floor was used across the whole area to provide unity and warmth.
